FINALLY--Kerri Lee Halkett Is Departing...

Dan Gross of the "Philadelphia Daily News" has confirmed that Kerri Lee Halkett of FOX 29 News is FINALLY leaving! Station management has confirmed she will return to the air the second week of October for a "big on-air sendoff". She began at FOX in 2002 and at one time, station execs had all their eggs in KL's basket! No one is talking as to "why" the departure, except that her husband resides in Connecticut. Lauren Cohn, formerly from WCAU, was brought in from Chicago and will replace KL on the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. shows next to Thomas Drayton.

Glad she's leaving. She was not that good, more of an actress reading the news in my opinion.

No loss. Too phony for me. Lauren Cohn is a better journalist and much easier on the eyes.

The news will be better without her. Apparently the Emmy replaced her professionalism.

When was journalistic ability ever a priority for a female anchor....she was what she was expected to be...a pretty face that got the ratings

Smart, fun, talented, and a great award winning journalist. I miss her dearly and ratings have dropped off a cliff since she left. Lauren Cohn has since been a disaster and is now demoted from the position as K-L's successor and the search continues to try to replace her. Obviously not so easily done. She had the last laugh. Plus I read her blog and she seems very happy and is expecting a baby. I'm not sure when but good for her for putting family first and leaving the gossip cess pool that is our Philly TV news behind.

if you watched her mouth, she looked all coked up!
